Description

New for 2012 from Atomic Aquatics - Venom

The Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask has a reinforcing internal frame that's molded directly beneath the surface of the silicone rubber skirt, like the Atomic Sub frame, yet it offers the relatively low profile of the Frameless.

its faceplate is single window like the Frameless, but it has a high bridge and tear drop shape.

The Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask comes across as a high concept, stylish looking piece of gear when it's being held in your hand, and it's really comfortable when mounted on your face.

Its easy to use squeeze to adjust buckles are soft mounted to the mask skirt, which allows a little bit of flexibility in strap positioning, plus they can be folded flat for packing.

Where the Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask differs from its little brothers the Atomic Sub Frame and the Frameless is in its faceplate construction.

While the Sub Frame and Frameless lenses use Ultra clear glass, which has quite a rep for optical quality in its own right, on the Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask Atomic uses an even higher quality glass imported Schott Superwite glass from Germany -the lens is called , it allows more light to penetrate than even Ultra clear glass.

The Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask offers an above average field of view, and the soft skirt and watertight seal combined to make the Atomic Aquatics Venom Ultra Clear Dive Mask feel like a part of your face.

Features:

• Low Volume
• Ultra-wide Panoramic-view tear drop design
• Integrated Easy-Adjust Swivel Buckles
• Reinforcing internal frame molded beneath the silicone rubber skirt
• Single lens design
• New UltraClear German Schott Superwite™ glass lens with exceptional optical clarity.

What makes our New UltraClear Schott Superwite™ glass so special?

Atomic Aquatics revolutionized the dive industry with “UltraClear” lenses. Before UltraClear, all dive mask lenses were made from low-quality float glass with a visible green tint caused by iron particles remaining in the glass after processing. These green iron particles significantly block light transmission through the lens.

All Atomic Aquatics masks utilize a higher quality optical glass that significantly improves underwater vision allowing up to 96% of light transmission-UltraClear glass.

Our NEWEST UltraClear lens in the VENOM dive mask is made by the Schott Glass Company in Germany. The VENOM gives you the highest purity grade UltraClear glass available. That means you get incredible clarity and high light transmission that isn’t available in other masks-even those who claim to be ultra-clear.

SV2 Dry Snorkel:
SV: Scupper Valve
The Atomic Aquatics Scupper Valve snorkel design is based on the same principle as the one-way Scupper Valve used in boats. If waves or splashes enter the boat, a one-way rubber flapper located on the deck near the rear of the boat opens to drain the water then quickly closes to prevent backwash. The simple Scupper Valve effectively keeps the deck free of water accumulation.

SV: Small & Versatile
Before embarking on a new design, we asked divers about the snorkels that were currently on the market. Overwhelmingly, the biggest complaint about snorkels was size. The modern Scuba snorkel had evolved into a large and difficult to manage piece of equipment. Divers were abandoning the use of their snorkels because of size, discomfort and poor performance. So Atomic Aquatics imagined a smaller, streamlined snorkel design that clears easily and is comfortable to use.

SV: Sleek & Valuable
At Atomic Aquatics, we always strive to achieve sleek and stunning designs that are as attractive as they are functional. The SV Snorkel Series is no exception. Its sleek profile makes it easy to stow or strap as a valuable addition to your dive bag. Atomic divers will WANT to take the SV Snorkel to preserve tank PSI or paddle around an exotic lagoon between dives.

Full Foot Split Fins:
Why SplitFins deliver more propulsion with less air consumption:
All it took was watching the tail fins of fish – except that we couldn't keep up with them because our traditional fins took too much effort. Using hard kicking paddle fins can result in leg strain, fatigue and cramping. Because of the kick resistance of a paddle fin, divers often “felt” like they were moving fast. But underwater speedometers proved that these divers were actually moving relatively slow. SplitFins deliver more propulsion with less drag and kick with less effort. Reducing the stress and strain of the kick results in greater sustained speed, power and comfort. Independent testing has also confirmed that the SplitFin design significantly reduces air consumption.

Not all SplitFins are the same.
Splitfins come in a variety of shapes, sizes and stiffness. These contribute greatly to overall comfort and performance. A fin with short, soft blades will kick easier than a longer, stiffer one, but will require many more kicks to travel the same distance. A blade that is too stiff will require too much effort to kick comfortably. The Atomic SplitFins were specifically designed to optimize all these variables. They are easy kicking fins that deliver high thrust, speed, and efficiency with a comfortable, low frequency kick cycle.
